I'm 24, and I've been a real big fan of RPG's growing up. I played Final Fantasy, Dragon Warrior, Zelda, Pool of Radiance for the NES.
The SNES brought me Breath of Fire, Lufia, Final Fantasy III.
The PS & PS2 brought me more. Final Fantasy VII (widened the RPG genre to the public), Wild Arms, Suikoden, Star Ocean. As well as newer additions to the FF series.
And finally with my PC, I enjoy RPG's such as Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, Neverwinter Nights, Fable, and unfortunately was sucked into the MMORPG's for about 4 years playing Everquest and World of Warcraft.
All I want to know, is what RPG's am I missing out on and must play? I currently have Elder Scrolls III, but haven't played it yet, and will probably buy Oblivion IV. I also will probably order the Icewind Dale PC game, since I enjoyed Baldur's Gate so much. (Yes, I've beat Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 and Everquest game that were made for the PS2).
But what other RPG's am I missing out on? What are your favorites?

I collect RPG 's execpt PC's. You've come to the right place here's some you might like.
Lufia 2 for SNES, Shadow Hearts 1 an 2 for Ps2, Tales of Destiny 1 and 2 for ps one, Grandia there's four of them one for ps one and three for ps2, Beyond the beyond for ps one, Thousand Arms for ps one, Legand of Legaia ps one and Legaia 2 of ps2, Arc the Lad one for ps one and 2 for ps2, Radiata Stories for ps2, Xenogears for ps one, for SNES theres The 7th Saga, Super Mario RPG,Secret of Evermore, and was once rated best RPG of the year and hard to find SECRET OF MANA.I know a whole lot more but these are pretty much all the old school games. The best rpg game I've ever played would have to be diablo 2 and its expansion on the comp.I play these online (btw its free) and man are they fun.They don't have the greatest graphics but the gameplay is flawless.The story line itself isnt that great but online you can create and manage a friends list, start up to 6 characters and collect armors, weapons,boots,gloves,belts,helms,shields,gems,runes,potions and alot more.A cool thing about it is the different classes of characters and skills they can learn.Theres the Barbarian,Necromancer,Paladin,Sorceress,Amazon,Assassin and Druid each with skills only they can use.
The best part however is raising your character to a high level online,collecting the best weapons,armors and items, getting the best skills and pvp everyone.It's so sick! Anyways i recommend this game as the best RPG.I wish people would give it the rating it deserves:)

You haven't played Oblivion? You are missing out. That game is overwhelming.
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2.

If you like baldurs gate and icewind dale, try Planescape Torment if you can find it... Dungeon Siege 1&2 are good, more of a action/rpg.
For ps2- Champions of Norath 1 and 2

Dude! You've got to play God of War for the PS2. The graphics are awesome and it's challenging.

play elder scrolls its the best rpg i played and i have been a gamer for 30years
ff3 ff5 ff9 chrono cross chronotriger are fun and i saw diablo on the list the first on the ps1 was good

I personally like WoW just because you're so free to do things...it's so addicting it's not even funny.
Try Asheron's Call: Dark Majesty...I haven't played that in about four years, but when I left for WoW, it was awesome.

as far as actual Rpg's go I love Dungeons and dragons and Vampire masqurade as far as video games I like Final fantasy, and the Dark alliance games

I think you should play the two Kingdom Hearts games there very addictive and fun.
