complete and utter waate of time
no helpful, "expert" opinions that you couldn't have got off your mates
and very addictive when you really should be working
total waste of valuable time

Contrary to what has been said so far, I would say that no service that can bring people together and pool information and opinions from around the world, could be a waste of time! I have personally gained a lot from being here. I have a rare condition called narcolepsy and didn't know anyone else with it until I came here but having seen a lot of the other questions and answers on here, I can see that a lot of other people have been helped here too so I'm really happy about it. :-) Also, there are amusing subjects and jokes too so we can have a laugh whenever we feel like it! :-) Wow - longer answer than I thought - maybe Yahoo Answers should give me commission! Not a complete waste of time as I find it entertaining when I am completely bored and want something that isn't cerebrally challenging to do.
I do feel that a lot of questions can easily be answered before posting by the asker by simply Googling, visiting Wikipedia or the like.
It's mostly harmless stuff, expect when the numpties and racists get on the board. That's bad.

It appears that most of the questions could have been answered by a little research by the person asking. On those I don't try to be informative. They just waste every ones time.
Some have genuine need for answers. On those I try to help.

yes and no. same as everything.
i've found it only modestly useful coz, as has been previously stated, there's info available by the truck load on the all-seeing-i.
nice to be able to feel like i've helped somebod or given them a grin too.

i think its just good for a laugh, because the person answering your ? could be any body could be a 16 year old girl, could be a 19 year old that thinks he knows every thing about every thing, you never no who's on the other side. every one these days thinks they no every thing.
