We went on a cruise to the Bahamas this last December. It was wonderful. How much you should expect to spend depends on a few things--whether or not you want to do excursions (they can cost anywhere from $20-150+), how much shopping you want to do (especially on the boat, which is WAY more), and whether or not you want to drink alcohol (which isn't included with the price like the food is). If you're wanting to do excursions and drink, I would suggest $500-800 per person--you don't have to spend that much. You do need valid passports, though bring a photo id to get on and off the boat (you can leave your passport in a safe in your stateroom--they run for as much as $10,000 on the black market).

Hope this helps.

i'm not to sure how cruises work, but i was suppose to go to punta cana this past jan. except my boyfriend broke up with me n the night b4. but thats besides the point. for the 2 of us it came to like 3,000 n that included everything food, drinks, entertainment, sports that didnt include motor. So that may be something you want to look into.Good Luck and have fun!!
