Is there anyway way to fax documents online? and for free? will my documents really get there?

I need to fax some impoatant papers. how can i do it online and for free?

If you have a fax modem and a program such as MS Word or ProFax, as well as a myriad of other programs which offer the same functionality you can fax documents online. But, you cannot do it via DSL or Cable modem. The reasons for that, I'm not quite sure of.

I've used it and it worked but that was years ago.
