Yes you do!

Doctors inappropriately touching your or otherwise making you reasonably uncomfortable is a battery: an intentional act causing offensive contact.

You said this happened to you a while ago... most states have a 2 year statute of limitations on the battery claim (meaning you lose the right to sue about it if you don't file the lawsuit within 2 years after the battery occured). You'll only be allowed to bring your claim if the incident happened since February 2005 (that might be unlikely since most people only go to the obgyn once a year). But your friend can definately sue. And you guys can get other women to join the lawsuit since he probably didn't molest just the 2 of you. And you can help your friends case by providing testimony that he has done these actions before, so the judge might award more money since the doctor didn't do it just one time.

I hate the obgyn enough as it is and I can't imagine someone molesting me at the same time... i feel icky enough when I leave there, even though i have really good professional women doctors.

You can take any one of several steps. First, make a report to the California State Board of Medical Quality Assurance. This is the agency that licenses physicians, and they have the power to discipline him up to and including removal of his license.
Second, consider making a police report. What he might be charged with could range from simple battery to sexual assault, depending on exactly what he did. Now, depending on how long ago this was, the statute of limitation may have run, but the authorities can tell you about that.
Finally, if the statute has not run, consider a lawsuit against him in both malpractice of medicine, and intentional infliction of
emotional distress. You have been wronged civilly, and as hard as it will be to face him in court, its the only way to keep him from doing it again.

Need more information. But, you should show it to a local lawyer. Most will answer one question without charge.
