Should you wear light coloured lipsticks with light coloured clothes and dark with dark clothes or the other way around? I can never figure it out. I am going out tonight (wearing black and red), and I don’t know whether to put on pick or brown lipstick.
Oh and I have black hair, pale skin and green eyes.

It depends how much eye make up you're wearing. If you're going to do someting subtle for your eyes, do the dark coloured lipstick. If you're going to put heavy make up on your eyes put light coloured lipstick.
But from your description I think dark lipstick woudl look better.

I think it's more about your face. For instance, if you do a darker eye then try a pale lip. If you want to rock the red lipstick, just go with nice eyebrows and mascara.
It doesn't have to necessarily match your outfit, but that can be fun too!

The selection of clothes doesn't matter as far as I'm concerned. My rule of thumb is either play up my eyes or play up my lips. If I choose to play up my eyes, I go heavy on the shadow and liner and use light lipstick. If I choose to play up my lips, I use a bold shade of lipstick and maybe just a little liner and mascara.

It sounds like you have Cool coloring with your hair,eye, and skin tones. I would make sure first that I used a complementary shade of color, rather than dark or light. For example, you would probably look better in any shade of pink or red than in a brown color. I hope that makes sense. You can look at some color charts that are listed according to cool or warm shades and go from there.

if you have blakc hair pale skin and green eyes, then you should definately wear light lipstick! dark lipstick is for people with dark skin!

I have mild brown hair, eco-friendly eyes, slightly tanned, and finished lips. i imagine it relies upon on the guy in the journey that they decide on to be bold or not. I favor impartial/mild lipstick. darkish lipstick and mild lipstick can look tremendous on everybody.

wear a dark lipstick or personally id say wear red, you cant go wrong with red ^_^ :)

you should wear lipstick and/or makeup to match your complexion not your clothing. if you wear strong eyeshadow go light on lips and vice versa.
