You may need to switch to vellum paper to get the opacity you need. Another option is to reduce your exposure time/intensity then carefully wash the emulsion out and re expose the emulsion to harden. Third option would be to have a company with an image setter run your films for you.

Have you tried cleaning it and doing a alignment? Should be options for the alignment in the settings section of the printer on your computer.
