Ask him straight out if he could tell you why he talks about her all the time. Maybe he would feel better if he went to church to talk to a priest about his high concern for her passing on. You should go with him to find out what it is that seems to disturb him. It could be that he was truely close to her and he misses her deeply and he may be in a state of shock and he feels it's you he needs to talk to about her becaise he may feel comfortable with you. Try to be patient with him and show some compassion and give some suggestions to help him. Someday you may need him in the same way he needs you. Marie V

Maybe you should try to figure out why he talks about her so that you can at least try to respect his rambling. Did she raise him? She may have been more like a mom. Can you imagine loosing someone that close to you? Also, maybe he tells you because he thinks you are kind enough to listen. Doesn't sound like anyone else is. Be sweet to him and think of his feelings before you hurt them by embarrassing him.

I believe the best way is to tell him how you feel. Tell him that you understand how much he loves his grandma, but that his way of dealing with her death is hurting your relationship.Or just try going out somewhere and tell him "today lets talk about us" or find and interesting hobby to take her death of his mind

Does your bf have a mother? Did his grandma raise him? What's the importance to him? Maybe he had great memories at his grandma's house. Maybe he wants you to learn from what she did for him. Maybe he wants you to be like her, i.e. cook like her or be sweet like her. ...You need to know that a man doesn't change and you can't change him. If you don't like what he likes then find yourself another bf. Sounds like he really loved his grandmother. Maybe he's not over her death. Maybe he doesn't want to be over her death. Maybe he wants to keep her in his memory.

It seems to me that you are jealous of the way he feels about his grandmother. You should be empathetic to his feelings of loss. I too lost my grandmother and I think of her everyday. You must not know what it is to lose and if you do, then you may not know what love is. Love doesn't just end with death, it gets stronger.

If you know his grandmother talk about her as well and this will make you feel better and this will probably help him talk about other things in general.
