Like the garlic you buy in the store? I planted it from a little section from a big garlic with several sections.

When a garlic clove (a piece of the bulb) is planted and left for a approximately one year, it develops into a bulb.

More than one bulb would be unusual - I have many friends that grow garlic, organic stuff like us, and have never experienced this.

We have been growing our own garlic for 15 years.

Perhaps two cloves were planted very close together?

Cheers.

A clove is the section, a bulb is all the cloves together. you should plant one clove and harvest an entire bulb.
