Hispanic people have been found to have a much lower rate of autism than whites etc. The rate of non-familial autism has been found to increase with advancing paternal. Number of mutations in sperm rise with the age of the father. The CDC talks about differences in access to care to explain the low rate amoung Hispanics. I do not buy that explanation. Please help if you know anything about Hispanic culture in terms of childbearing. Thank youl.

well i am Hispanic... and i have a daughter. i had her when i was 18. i am 21 now.

i was just talking about this with my boyfriend (and father of my daughter) the other day. i was telling him how it was ironic how it seams that other people who are older and appear to be more financially supportive cant have babies.. yet, where i live, i see Hispanic women walking around everywhere pregnant.
honestly i think its that more Hispanics have babies young. like me i had my daughter at 18. my mom at 20. my grandma at 19. lol yes i know... but all of us had healthy babies. heck i know some girls who get pregnant accidentally! i think its sad some people dont even want to get pregnant yet there are people out there who are bending over back wards to try and get pregnant.

i honestly believe its just most Hispanics have babies REALLY young. i have known girls who have had babies at.. yes 12. i know its sad... but i guess... Hispanics dont know how about birth control or something.... but as you do get older its harder and not as safe. which is kinda ironic.. because when you are older you are more ready to have kids... vs. when you are young.
