Rate = the speed with which the reaction occurs. Maybe like 5g per minute.

No. Reaction rate is the speed of the reaction, which is related to the activation energy of the various steps (larger Ea = slower reaction). Reaction time often refers to how long it takes a reaction to complete or reach a certain stage.

No- time is how long it takes before it starts to react and it is measured in minutes, hours, days, years, etc.
Rate is a ratio- how much something is reacting, and is measured in a ratio, such as kilobytes per second, neters per minute, degrees per second, milliliters per minute.
