i was asking for opinions. i'm writing a paper on it for sociology and had to choose a song that demonstrated different aspects of a specific subculture (in this case, the youth population). I've read the lyrics over and over but you can only write so much about a song of it's short length and i haven't hit my length requirement yet.

theyre not praising their generation, theyre making fun of it. roger's stutter was an imitation of people who were on amphetamines (amphetamines were widely used to lose weight in the 60's). the whole song is a parody of the pill-popping mod scene.

I didn't hear the whole song. Just the 30 second demo on iTunes. I do hear them singing it in a stuttering way. Unusual don't you think. Does anybody out there even buy that song.
