(2) If you have not already scanned your comp with spybot do that now .Update it and then run it so it gets rid of all the spyware and trojans
(3a) Do an online virus scan to check if you still have any other viruses in your computer. And let us know if the online virus scan still finds any virus or spyware .
If the above steps do not remove the hijack then you would need to
(4) Download hijackthis
(5) Post the hijackthis log on the hijackthis forum for the hijackthis experts to take a look

I think the best software for pop-ups is Ad-Aware and BHO Demon. I know you can get Lavasoft Ad-Aware from www.download.com but not sure about BHO Demon.
Ad-Aware cleans your computer of harmful files that can cause viruses and pop-ups.
BHO Demon lets you control what toolbars you want on your internet. So if you get a pop-up that installs a toolbar that you cannot get rid of, this program can usually get it off.

www.ccleaner.com
This is totally free and works fantastically well. It gets rid of that spyware, adware, and pretty much everything that you don't want on your computer. I used to have to call my brother to fix my computer all the time; but since a friend told me to run this program a few months ago, I've never had a problem.
