Chance, I don't think the dead and dying, their families, friends and communities have your refined appreciation for logic. And maybe if they did, they'd die happier. What do you think?

Patois... I know.

Chance, I make no apologies for believing that the deaths of innocents is illogical, and that no film can overstate the value of human life. There are precious few justifications for any war, and justification enough comes rarely. And this war doesn't even come close. It is unpardonable.

There are tears for this everyday, but one can only imagine how they flow in Iraq and Afghanistan! I applaud your efforts not only in this film clip, but in your answers as well, as they cronicle a remarkable transformation. This is not who we all are, and our choice is to make a difference yesterday, today and tomorrow. Let us all join together to say no to this failed world view, and start electing those who agree we can no longer treat each other in this way.

I think that video was supposed to elicit some emotional response, but what? That war is bad? That kinda goes without saying. If you want to make a logical argument for or against the war, fine, but throwing a smooth soundtrack to a "poignant" pictures is patronizing in the extreme.

Edit
I don't claim that my logic is refined, but when you try to use imagery to short circuit logical thought, which is exactly what this video is intended to do, you are as guilty of manipulation as those who tried to say that if we didn't go to war there would be mushroom clouds over the US.

ok, first off, that was a terrible propaganda. I have heard of worst things happening there from my friends who fought. Would you like to hear them? and if you would, would you also like to hear the good things happening over there?

If & only if you happen to be part of a propaganda film. I'm not, so I'm not.
