I suck at chemistry..please help.

Bohr said that the electrons could only orbit the atom at specific energy levels and could not be in between the levels. This is like saying you can climb a ladder, but you must put your foot on the steps of the ladder and not in between the steps. Your foot can go only to specific levels of steps of the ladder.

If the electrons can go to only specific levels of energy, then they can only absorb then emit those levels of energy and nothing in between. The different levels of energy absorbed or emitted by the electrons moving to specific levels causes the atoms to emit only certain frequencies of light which correspond to those energy levels.

Well I'm learning this at school too but I'm okay at it.I got 85% on my last test.I found a website that you mite find your answer in if you understand it.(I hope you do)
