The question is not who would win(of course the 80's Lakers). The questions is who was more entertaining to watch?
I'd say the Fab 5, they brought style and they were more explosive.

No doubt, Showtime Lakers! Look at the caliber of players they faced and how much finesse they brought to tthe game.

The Phi Slamma Jamma was the best show. They were the most explosive team I had even seen. They could take a small lead and turn the game into a blow out. Clyde the Glide, Benny Anders, Michael Young, Alvin Franklin, Larry Micheaux and Akeem Olajuwon could all fill the lane.

The Showtime Lakers were the most entertaining to watch .The only other sports team that was almost as good were the Rams Greatest Show on Turf.

I believe the Fab 5 were the most entertaining, because of the lack of skill that they played against and the fact that their style was so unconventional at the time. They played with a playground style on the hardwood and that is what makes the Phoenix Suns today so entertaining.

you are wrong for asking this question and including the lakers who were clearly in a class all by themselves. two of the greatest players to ever play this game were on that team with a supporting cast that was phenomenal! bob mcadoo, michael cooper, james worthy, kurt rambis, jamaal wilkes, hell- they even made sedale threatt look good! kareem is the innovator of a little move you might remember called the "sky hook" and that 6'8" guy who seemed to have had eyes in the back of his head was one of the most exciting and well-rounded players we will ever see. think about if olajuwon or webber had gotten injured in the tournament and was unable to play. their teams would have gotten ran off the court. kareem got hurt in the championship against philly and didn't even make the trip. what happened was that magic played all five positions that day and ended up with 42 points, 15 rebounds, 7 assists, and 3 steals in capturing the nba title. let this weigh on your mind and you see if you actually think there was ever any team better!
