Well the more you take the more credits you'll carry with you to college, which is nice because it means less general education class you have to take, so you can devote more time towards your major. Also more credits can get you better placement in dorms and earlier registration for classes (depending on the school, because some are lottery system)

The bad thing is it's a lot of work, and you have to make sure you can balance school and your life. Talk with your guidance counselor about what classes you should take, good luck!

btw to jim...if you have to ask what AP means than you probably shouldn't be answering the question

Yes! Because AP classes are college level classes which both helps you prepare for those classes in college but also in the future. You can also gain college credits (only if you score high enough on the AP test) which means that you may not have to take that certain class in college; if you do, you might just take a shorterned period rather than a regular class.

The only negative part about it is that it takes A LOT of work; theres a lot of homework and studying involved. Almost all the tests are tough multiple choice questions and extremely difficult to remember all the key facts. Its hard to get social time in as well; so its most likely that you won't be able to slack off during your senior year.

However, anyone can pull it off. So good luck!

I would say it depends on your school and your dedication to your school work. If your school is anything like mine, the original curriculum stunk and din't prepare for any higher education, not even on the junior college level. Not being prepared for college stinks, so I would suggest going with the AP courses if you aren't being challenged or taught enough through the regular courses. Also, if you have the intention to go to college and don't think you can handle the AP classes, then I would think a B or an A in a regular course would look better than a C in an AP course. There also isn't any forgiveness in your GPA whether you take AP or regualr courses. If you can handle them then do them, if not, don't.

Yes! The cost of higher education is increasing each year. The more AP courses you can finish while you are in high school, the faster you will finish college. Also, there are program such as EXCEL and College Prep where you can take a course at a Community College while you are in high school. Talk to your high school counselor. Good luck.

YES. I'm taking an AP class my senior year and it looks very good. If you are taking one now and continue to take one next year, it looks very consistant and shows that you can handle the college level classes.

From personal experience, yes it looks good on your college applications and your future job applications, but the classes themselves are much harder than the college class. I took two my senior year.
