Moth Balls.
Moth balls can be tossed into the hole where the squirrels are getting in and because moth balls disintergrate after coming in contact with air,the smell will linger abit but will eventually go away and hopefully this will give you time to seal the hole and the squirrels will move on.
I am not sure when squirrels breed so make sure that you do not get only parent squirrels but babies as well. . . don't want stranded babies to die and start to stink because then you would really have a hard time.
I don't really thing you need to worry about babies during this time of year but just be aware of the situation before hand so you can take care of the problem accordingly.
You could also put a out a trap that you could possibly get from your local animal control. Once the squirrel is caught it can be carried off to the country or some other treed area.
NEVER,NEVER try to catch a wild squirrel by grabbing them and handling them as they can cause a very NASTY bite and though not likely, squirrels are warm blooded animals and warm blooded animals can and do carry rabies.

You have to find where they're getting in and seal it up so they can't get in any more. Don't waste any time. People think squirrels are 'cute' but they are the most destructive critters in the world. They'll chew up anything, including your electrical and have caused many a house fire by creating an electrical short.

I have the same problem. They come to my room sometimes. All I do is leave the windows open so that it'll go.After that I close the windows. If they nest in your cupboards or anything that could be big trouble.

You need to find where they are getting in and fix the hole. They don't like the smell of ammonia but it may get the best of you if you use it.

You need a professional trapper. Follow his advice as to how to rid your home once and for all. And this is NOT the correct category for this question.
