i just see her in the bus and the bus stop. i already asked her what time the bus comes and thats it...what else can i ask to initiate a conversation? i really like this person. i can already tell her personality when she briefly talked to my friend. shes laidback and funny, confident. sigh. i dont want to rush tho. i only want to think that i just wanna get to know her first and be friends at least.

Now! How would you like a totally cute girl to come up and make conversation with you? Just make a list (yes, there is homework involved since your having trouble). Write out conversation starters. Not little one liners, after all, you want to talk, not throw funny one-liners at her. You can do that when she knows you. To get to know someone, you have to talk. So write out things you can get her into a conversation about. Such as - something that has been bothering you and probably others. Say the weather has been bad in your area and there has been lots of closures in companies, talk about being out of work, etc. That's just one thing you can talk about, there's an endless list, its up to you.

Pay attention to what she is doing and wearing- is she listening to music, reading a book, wearing a t-shirt you can ask about? Is she in school- you can ask about her classes.
Maybe you're reading a book, listening to music- you can say- have you seen/heard this?
Ask her where she got an interesting piece of clothing she's wearing (necklace, shoes, bag...)
Just find something about her that you can strike up a conversation about and go from there.

Ask her whats the party spot in the area. Or one of the best places to eat that is near by.

Elaine is right! Be attentive to what shes doing and then start the conversation with what she's wearing or what she's doing.. :)
Sit beside her so initiate it easily.. Its very unusal to talk to her from afar..

I wouldn’t say anything until you find out she is into other girls..... If you do say or do something showing your interest in her it is likely she will get freaked out.
