I have written my grad school entrance essay already but I dont know if I need to double space it or single space it, I know they can be picky and I just dont know!

Double space it. There is no special format required, really, but some of the old folks on the admissions committee find double-spacing to be easier on the eyes. ;)

most "official papers" of Any kind of double spaced bcz it is considered easier to read!!..Don't send single spaced,,

standard is APA and it calles for double spacing.
but does not hurt to make phone calls.
