I love this game (metal gear solid 3 snake eater) BUT I can NOT figure out how to use the boxes to be brought places. One the side of the boxes it says "TO ....." such as "To Weapons Lab East Wing". So I'm in the right area....and I put myself in the box in the path of a soldier (u have to be directly in the path just for them to see you) and they see me, kick the box, then pick it up and toss it and begin to shoot me! I've tried sitting in the box in the path or next to the path of 10 different soldiers now and it happens the same way every time. I've also tried to push different buttons in the process like when the solider picks the box up so I stay in it or something but nothing is working. WHY would it say "To Weapons Lab: East Wing" if it shouldn't go there? Supposedly thats what they are for other than hiding...right? Darn you Hideo Kojima!

The boxes say "To..." because in certain part's of the game such as Groznyj Grad, you'll find supply truck's and if you get in the back and equip the boxes you'll activate a cutscene in which you'll be sent to where the box is labeled. It's a short way to get around.
And I don't recommend using the boxes to hide with!

you can hide in them. Just equip them and stay still. Also, you can hop into trucks equip them and it will take you to a destination. They are kinda like short cuts
