Well think about it this way "Death leaves a scar that no one can heal but love gives a memory that no one can steal," all you have to do is be grateful for being so lucky to have had such a wonderful person in your life, as long as u have all of those memories about that person he/she will not really be gone because they will keep on living on in your memories.

You just plan on getting through the next minute, hour, day and then you get up again in the morning and do the same thing over. Time does make the grief more tolerable, but it never totally goes away. I will be doing something and it will remind me of my father (who I was very close to) and I will just start to cry. It took 12 months before I could go a day without crying. In the first few months I couldn't even count the amount of times a day I would be in tears. I miss him every minute of every day, but at least I tend to be reconciled to the fact that he is not coming back even though I don't like it one bit.

We need to learn to live with, My dad died six years ago and I am trying to learn to live with it Every person has a different way of grieving. My dad was also my best friend. I am not ready to view video tapes of holidays yet. Maybe this year.

You really can't......over time, the pain will mend, but there always will be a spot that the person filled in your life, and no matter how long you wait, or what you do, it will never be filled
