who's performance stood out? what did you think of the ending?
anyone else but me faill to see how this was nominated 5 times?

1. The movie is good.
2. Leonardo gave good performance.
3. The ending is not so ok, Matt Damon shouldn't be killed, he should suicide due to guilty conscious.
4. I think overall this movie is good compared to other movies of same kind.

The Departed is an incredible film. The cinematography is beautiful, the characters are all interesting, and the story kept me highly engaged.
Nicholson was incredible. DiCaprio gave a performance up to his usual high standards. Damon was less of a blank wooden pretty boy than he usually is. I'm moderately surprised Mark Wahlberg got a nomination for his performance, but he was solid.
The Plot really worked, and the characters were all flawed, yet had redeeming qualities, and realistic motivations.
I don't think Departed is overrated, and I would have no problem with it winning Best Picture.

No way
It was a beautiful movie
It should have been nominated more than that.
I loved Mark Wahlburg's performance.
Matt Damon, Alec Baldwin, Leonardo Dicaprio were all amazing and Jack, well, he's always amazing.
The ending blew me away
I loved every inch of this movie

The movie has a good plot to start with.. the performance by Leo n Matt was good tho and as for the ending... I dont think it ended yet.. since there'll be a sequel to it (if i'm not mistaken :P)
Try watching the original chinese version instead (titled Infernal Affairs).. way better.

It was wonderfully done. And I have NEVER liked Leo or Matt, but they actually did a good job for once. So, no I do not think it was over rated. (I did like the ending. It was perfect.)

I liked it, it was well acted written and directed but I don't know if it's over rated. All movies to me are overrated..can someone say "little miss sunshine"?

This movie was excellent and I would say mark wahlberg stood out the most. I wasn't expecting Leonardo to die but it was a great ending.
