Its the same as cutting a tomato with a sharp knife,if you push it strait down it needs more force than moving it back & fourd.So the result is your razor will last longer ,shave clooser and cut old groth easer.

I have two possible answers:
1.) It's a marketing scheme designed to make you think that it works better, although it really doesn't, and tricks you into buying it and then buying the replacement heads, which is where they make the real money, if you didn't know that.
2.) You use it to shave your balls...I'm sure the vibrations are fairly pleasurable.

Yup, as K said, it's all marketing. That's why they now have blades with 5 edges... Like 5 is REALLY going to be better than 4, or 3.

I would love to know that too. I thought that in order to avoid getting cut you had to AVOID profusely shaking the razor. Beats me.

Isn't it ridiculous?? Frickin' marketing. I think it's a pointless add-on and merely see it as an effort for the manufacturers to get more of our dough!! Pathetic.
