I have protein shakes that have creotine in them and i take the shake after i lift. since creotine gives u energy should i take it before i lift or not

You need a good protein meal about an hour after working out.

Creatine stays in your system for a while. That's why you have to "preload" or take double doses the first couple of weeks. (Though, don't worry if you didn't)

Creatine takes weeks to go out of your system. I wouldn't worry about what time you take it. I used to take it before working out and after working out and I couldn't tell a difference.

By the way, I stopped taking it because it makes you retain water. I felt bloated. I could lift more but what's the point? You will still gain muscle with or without creatine.

There is no such thing as the right time to take any type of PED or to overload your kidneys.
