Depends to where. Most guys would love a gift card to a hardware store, auto parts store, places like that. Any guy would absolutely love you for a gift card to an adult only store. Not dumb at all.

If it's a gift card to some place where you can buy beer, guns, golf clubs, tools, truck parts, or fishing equipment - no.
If it's a gift card to some place to buy flowers, scrapbooking supplies, perfume, or home decor products - yes

to be honest with you its not a dumb,its a great idea but come on hes a boy and i dont think he'll like it,you didnt say what age he is cuz i guess if he was a teen and you got him a best buy card he would go right now and look for a game but if hes in his early 20s and likes to shop then fine but i dunno,i dont think its good one but give him what you feel you want to cuz its between you and him

um... i think so... but that is only my opinion... i would think of more of something sweet as a girft... not a gift card, i did that once but they said that I didnt know a lot about him to get him a gift.... i felt bad... but we are still togther! lol :)
