i was wanting to know anything about clomid?

i was wanting to know anything about clomid does it help with poeple who have pcos???? and does anyone know how much it is without insurance.

I don't have PCOS, but I did take clomid for 3 months. I got it for about $50 with prescription, but with no insurance. The prices may vary from pharmacy to pharmacy and state to state. We have been unsuccessfully trying for year and half after which my doctor gave me these, due to a thinner entrance to my womb to increase the chances. It didn't help yet and I'm on a three month break after which my doctor will increase the dosage and in between he's checking on my fiancees hormonal levels. Try discussing this with your OB/Gyn doctor. I hope this helps you at least a little bit and wish you good luck on TTC :-)

Clomid is about 70$ without insurance also it does not work for some women, try it for 3 months, you may have to go injections, plus clomid may actually make the problem worse because it messes up the vaginal mucus.

I have PCOS and it did not help me. The problem with PCOS is that it makes the shell of your eggs hard. This means that it is extremely difficult for sperm to penetrate the egg. Clomid is used to generate more mature eggs. In your case, you could produce 20 eggs but if they are hard because of the PCOS it will do you no good. Sounds to me like the only option for you is icsi. Which is were they use a needle to insert the sperm directly into the egg.

I know I live in Utah and got the generic to clomid and it was $13.00 for a five day perscription.
