Simple,

You just take
Since 100% is equal to 42000
then 30% will be = 42000 * 30 / 100 = 12600

The easiest way is with a calculator. Enter 42,000 into the calculator, press the "x" key, enter 30 and then press the "%" key. There you go there is your answer.
