I am a Canadian and perhaps for me to ask this question is out of line, but here it goes..If by most standards, a young person is not concidered old enough to make resonsible choices about drinking alchohol, then why can he or she join a military, that is fighting a war, that DOES NOT MAKE SENCE!

The drinking age was raised to 21 because DWI was the leading cause of death for people under 21. It was an attempt to curb the death of kids. Unlike Canada which hopes its kids would die more often.
