I usually go on a wicked shopping spree and then become more depressed because I have spent too much money... Actually if it is situational, it usually passes in time, you can sit here on the computer and read goofy things, or you can go to youtube and watch silly videos. If it is persistent and you feel this way for a prolonged period, you may want to get some kind of help, I know it's "taboo" for some people to get help or admit they need it, but there's a huge difference between situational and clinical depression. Clinical Depression requires medications to return the serotonin and norepinephrine, dopamine, etc... back to the correct synapse or chemical balance in the brain. If you need to talk, there are ppl right here, thousands of them, me included, that will happily lend an ear! Sometimes you just can't "pull youself up by he bootstraps".

I spent a good period of time feeling that way. You have to get off your butt and change the things that are making you unhappy or find a way to deal with life's little tragedies in a productive way. If you cannot, there is nothing wrong with seeking professional health, possibly medication to help you through the funk. More than 50% of Americans suffer from some sort of depression at one time or another but it's short-lived.

Yes I do sometimes. I call one of my sisters or a friend. They always have a way of cheering me up. I also spend time on my computer and I listen to a lot of music. All those things helps me when I'm feeling down.

Sure do, I think everyone does sometimes. When I do and no friends are about I take a long bath, do a homemade body scrub, give my self a manicure and pedicure, and a facial. If could afford it I would go to a spa but since I can't I do the spa at home.

Yes. I would do soul searching and meditate, I usually get some message underneath that feeling.
