Has anybody ever heard a loud BOOM sound in their ear like randomly when the room is in lull?

it happened to me last night it sounded like a dynamite blew up next to my ear.. could this mean something?

Hi, I'm an Audiologist.

What you describe is not common. Were there any other symptoms along with the sound? If there was NO pain, ringing, dizziness or hearing loss then you will probably be fine and it was just an anomaly. If you did have other symptoms or if it continues to happen, get a referral to an Ear Nose and Throat specialist.

You might want to get it checked out by a doctor, it isnt normal
