-----Men like appliances. I have heard that women hate being given, say, a vacuum cleaner; a man may well like, say, an electric drill, cordless. Gift certificates are nice. Look at his interests and look for something that means something to the both of you. If you give him a gift certificate, the both of you could go to the store together to spend it, spending all afternoon together at the store doing it. Wal-Mart is sure to have *something* he wants. You may well find out a lot about him as the two of you shop together. You can wait until the two of you are at the store to give him the gift certificate, to make sure he gets the idea. ---Jim
