no scary tests hunny just routine check his eyes his joints ask about his feeds if hes filling his nappies.the birth is different for everyone but if its gets to sore hun ask fr pain relief an epidural makes you feel no pain but you have to ask for this very early in the labour.bottles are pretty standard go for whatever you can afford.clothes for winter i wouldnt bother get him some cardigans and a few blankets and you can put on a few of these if there is still a chill about.i wish you all the best yasmine and most of all enjoy and cherish jaden when he arrives hes a lucky boy with a mum like you making all these preparations for him xxx

Don't buy alot of clothes. You have no idea how big your baby is going to be even if they give you an estimate. Nothing ever fits rights. The only clothes I would buy are one cute warm newborn outfit, hopefully it fits, undershirts and few comfy newborn sleepers. You may have to buy outerwear now before it goes out of season, like a warm one piece suit and a hat. They grow so fast. If you have an 7 lb baby within a couple weeks none of the newborn stuff fits. If you have an 8 lb baby he/she is already to big for the newborn stuff.I would buy a few different bottles to try out. Every baby is different. Then after you find the ones you like you can buy a whole bunch. If you are buying a three in one car seat, the stroller comes with the car seat. This is sufficient for the first few months. Then when they are bgger you can buy a lighter stroller, like an umbrella type stroller, that is easier to lift and closes up small. You may want to invest in a sterilizer. Don't sweat it. You'll have everything you need when the time comes. The most important things are food, warmth/comfort and you.

Hi Yasmine: My best suggestion is to buy about four gowns. Yes, boys can wear them too. I had my son in a gown for the first four or five weeks. You'll be changing him often and it's so much hassle to try to get all those snaps done, especially for night changes. I'd also recommend that you invest in a convertible car seat. A carrier is nice, but you can only use it for a few months. A convertible car seat can be used rear-facing (which is what you need for the first year) and front facing. It also fits babies from 5 pounds to 40 pounds in most cases. If you talk to someone at Babies R Us, even if you don't buy there, they can help you find the best seat for your car. I wouldn't recommend a bassinet, but that's just because I think they are a waste of money. Plus, you won't have to worry about transitioning the baby to the crib later. Are you going to nurse? It saves a ton of money and there are so many health benefits. If you decide to nurse, get a good quality electric double breast pump so you can pump milk for the baby and put it in bottles. Remember you need to buy nipples in stages: Stage 1 or slow flow for the little little babies and slowly work up to the higher stages as the baby gets better at drinking and demands more. Also, I'd recommend the playtex drop-ins bottles. It doesn't matter how much breast milk or formula you put in, you just screw on the top with the nipple and squeeze out the air -- makes it easier to digest and less gas in the baby. Sorry this rambled. Best of luck!

People usually try to get passed the first 6months before buying anything in the event of a tragedy or miscarriage. I started buying baby thing when I was about 8 to 8 1/2 months along. I bought unisex (Yellow and Mint Green) onesies and socks along with the receiving blanket, 1 bag of newborn diapers ( if you have a baby bigger than the average 8 lb-er newborn will not fit), wet wipes, bibs, Looked at car seat, baby carriage or Prams, bought bottles if not breastfeeding, clothes diapers for spit-up, a nursing pillow to support baby whether you breast or bottle feed. They usually give a list that tells you when to have these things. Congrats!!!

first off as far as tests go in the hospital, they will do a screening for hearing and vision...they will monitor his bowl movements and urine at first...since hes a boy you will have to decide if you want him cercumcized or not...as for the birth everyone is different...for me i swear by the epideral...it makes it a lot easier and less painful, but that is me...also it may be a good idea to just think about "just in case" a c-section...i had to have an emergency one done on my second child and if you think about it, like do you want put all the way out or not, it will be a little less stressfull...

now as for things you should have for your new baby here they are: lots of onsies, socks/booties, a few outfits (dont go overboard because they grow out of them quickly), diapers, wipes, diaper rash ointment, baby powder, baby shampoo, baby bath tub (or you can use your sink too), blankets, a couple extra fitted sheets for crib, as for bottles i just use the cheap kinds, diaper bag, burp cloths, get some infants tylenol and gas drops to have on hand, some jamies, car seat and stroller combos look nice, and i would highly recommend a swing...it was a life saver for me...

now some things later on as your little one gets older are a high chair, a playpen and maybe a saucer or a johnny jump up...

i hope this helps you a little...

It is cheaper to get a travel system as a stroller so you have your stroller and carseat all in one and they range anywhere from $100 to $300, I would definetly buy some winter clothes but don't spend a lot on clothes because your baby will out grow them or stain them, I got most of my baby clothes from goodwill and garage sales I have never spent more than $2 on any of my daughters clothes. I use the playtex drop in bottles they work best for me but you have to buy liners for them so they are more expensive. I hope this helps and feel free to email me if you have any questions(mdoud01@yahoo.com)

winetr clothes, stroller, prepare for all 12 months here.

APGAR, a 1-10 score on how the baby breaths is the only major test I know of.

For the first several weeks he will need so little! Diapers, formula, bottles and blankets. So relax and wait until you get him home, spend time with him and see for yourself what things would help, and which things you'd like to have and will actually use.
