Why do the Europeans (speciafically British) say Americans are old fashioned?
I've read an article in the guardian a British newspaper and the writer said, "Americans are more old-fashioned than us, and they're not ashamed of being old-fashioned." In my opinion the British are much more old-fashioned with a much older more established culture. The British are way more old-fashioned by nature than us Americans. We Americans who are far more into what is going on right this minute the phrase, "that's so yesterday." and are far more of a cyncial people.

Britain is a far smaller country than the US, so being up to date and fashionable is easier widespread,I think the US on the whole compared to the UK is old fashioned, only certain states are on comparison. The UK does have a lot of old fashioned values, but as far as trend setting, good music and flash gits-------were full of them.
ps for T78 i-pods have been in the UK a few years now,and what the US see as fashionable, doesn't always sell in the UK!
Big cars are a no,no with youngsters(little is more)

I guess it's their way of making them self's feel better. Because I have family that come here to the states every two years to see what all is new in the stores like last year when they came and they saw my I-pod, and my daughter's womb bear, and her teething toys they wanted to know where they could get something like those.
