Yes, all these places exist. I was in London, Paris and Rome ("Angels and demons") and I saw with my own eyes. I was in these cities many times before reading the books, but this time it was especially to see by myself. And, in order to not forget, I did pictures too.

Yes, they do exist. I've even visited a few - before the book or movie were ever done.

However, some of the scenes in the movie were actually filmed in locations different from where they claimed to be. This was due to some areas being unavailable for filming.

For example, what was supposed to be Westminster Abbey was really Lincoln's Cathedral in England. Westminster Abbey was the scene when the were looking at Sir Isaac Newton's tomb for clues.

Here's a link with photos of the locations:

The monuments and locations do exist. The same applies for the works of art mentioned in the book - and you would need advance booking if you want to see the Da Vinci Last Supper in Santa Maria della Grazia in Milan.

Yes all of locations I think are real (can't remember all now), but for example: Luvre museum, Westminster Abbey, Rosslyn chappel, Champs Elysees, Saint Sulpice church, Temple church.
There is organized tour for tourists called "Da Vinci code tour" where you can visit all these mentioned, check out this link:

I personally believe in a lot of what the book says. You can get a lot more info on the controversy by going to this wikipedia site.

All of the places in the book do exist. It is up to you to decide whether you believe the claims in the book, though... ;)
