Pull the troops to the border of Iraq and to the Anbar Province to fight Al Queda. Let the Iraqi forces fight the civil war that is occuring in Baghdad. The American troops are there to fight Al Queda, which is prevalent in the Anbar Province, and to make sure no terrorists cross over the borders and enter Baghdad. No additional troops would be needed as we already have enough over there to carry out this plan. It is proposed by Warner, a Republican in the House, along with three other Rep/Dem. It was supposed to have been discussed and voted on last week but the Republicans in the House are refusing to open discussion on it. 60 votes are needed to open the discussions and the Senate is 50-50.There's the plan. Write your Republican Congressman and urge him to open debate on the proposal. This is a good plan.

Any plan that is different from Bush's plan is a step in the right direction! My gut feel is that the more insurgents we kill, the more Osama bin Laden's we are creating in the Islamic world. Perhaps you didn't know this, but muslims resent our presence in their nations, have long memories, and are very dedicated to their leaders. It's a bad combination for interventionist foreign policy.

I would just get out of there altogether. The more we kill, the worse off we are.

I think when all is said and done, it is still a non-binding resolution. We need a binding resolution from both sides, we the people spoke in November and said enough is enough. So many people are posturing especially for presidential runs and want to soft pedal. Let's all call our congressional members and say make a blend of the Feingold resolution and the Warner resolution and make it binding. Bring our men and women home from Iraq, put them where they should have been in the first place, Afghanistan

it's not a good plan. if we abandon central iraq and let the iraq military take care of ita own civil war, it will soon turn into a blood bath. iraq's military is not yet trained or disciplined enough to fight such a battle, and the deaths of many civilians owuld be inevitable in such urban warfare. the presense of u.s. troops in places like baghdad is the only reason their not battlegrounds right now
