css question? won't launch?

ok i have had css for a while and it has worked well, but now i can't launch it. i get into steam and click launch and it says preparing to launch and then it flashes the opening menu and then it goes away. it won't start i have tried everything and can't find it on steams help pages.

any idea?

Mine did that when it had to update. It wouldn't launch because I wouldn't give steam enough time to update the game.

Check for updates.
