Well, it depends what kind of look your going for. Of course, black looks good no matter who it is. Be sure to accerosize right or else, you`ll make it a fashion don't! I think if its above the knee skirt, then throw on some gray patterned leggings with black booties or black platforms. Because the knee-highs with a skirt don`t mesh well.

RE:
If I wear a black skirt with black leggings and black knee high boots, is that too much black on the bottom?

Well it depends on what kind of top, skirt, leggings and boots you plan on wearing. Different types may not all go together. First off, I'm really not a fan of anyone over the age of 5 wearing leggings with a skirt, unless the leggings are more like tights and sheer. If thats the case, I think a pencil skirt always looks best with tights. Make sure the blacks of the skirt and shirt match, and that the browns for the leggings and boots are similar (different shades of dark brown. Not a light carmel brown and a dark brown)

That is way too much black on the bottom. Even if you were going for the goth look. They usully wear black and another color leggings like...black and white or a bright color. If you are going for a cute gothic look...please, don't wear the black leggings!

Brown leggings & brown boots together don't sound good. If you're gonna wear a plain black top & skirt, then I recommend wearing a thin belt at the waist line. If you must wear some coverage on your legs then I recommend fishnets. Always in style & sexy!

Well, that depends what you're aiming for. If you're wearing a solid black top with the regalia described in your question, then there shouldn't be a problem. But if your top is a solid color - let's say blue - then you would want something blue of a similar shade somewhere below your waist - like blue leggings - to balance it out. Just a thought from a fashion disaster who turned around :)

Skip the black leggings and wear just socks that's concealed...In other words, black skirt, black boots w/ knees showing. Showing a little skin is always sexy....GUYS love it!!!

It truly depends on the look you are going for. It may work if you're going for punk or goth, and it may even work with a navy colored top, but otherwise it does sound a bit much.

Try trading the boots for a different type of shoe, and make the black skirt a bluejean one.

No, that is monochromatic which makes you look longer and doesn't break up your body which is fasionable. Just make sure the top isn't white, it would really break it up, a black top or at least a dark or multicolored with black in it would be best. Black is the best.
