Ok...please demonstrate how to solve this problem...
I have to find the composition of the functions...f(g(x)) and g(f(x))

f(x)=sqrt x
g(x) = sqrt of x

the book has FoG and GoF as 4^sqrt x

f(x) lets call sqrt x = x^1/2
make this the x in g(x)
f(g(x))=( x^1/2)^1/2
=x^1/4
this is the 4th root of x
which I think is what you are trying to say.
