I have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, but I want to be a teacher now, but I don't know what I need. I heard there was a program designed to help working professionals from the corporate world transition into teaching. Please help. Thanks.

You have several ways to find details on what you need. The Maryland State Department of Education, or MSDE, has some information listed on their website. You could also contact local colleges or universities. Many have programs that offer initial certification to degreed individuals. (Check out this website: http://directory.msde.state.md.us/map/LocalFrames.asp)

You could also check the websites of the individual counties to see what information they have. Some have information regarding emergency certification. Maryland does not require certification to substitute, so that is another way that you could build contacts and find out if you enjoy teaching.
