Sure he is a great scorer, but he shoots 43% from the field. He is kinda selfish beacuse he shoots som much ( i dont care what his assists per game is, that doesn't always measure a player's passing skills) I think if any1 jacked up as many shots as him and got as many weaak fouls called, they could score 30 a game 2. I think it is crazy he is being considered MVP. I also hate his attitude. Who intentionally tries too score a bunch because they have too much pride and need to show people wrong

To answer your question, definitely not. Gilbert Arenas may shoot only 43%, but his scoring, rebounds, assists, and freethrow percentage has increased every year he's been in the league. But more importantly, the Wizards' win total has increased every year he's been with them.
He also has played well in the big games, especially against the Lakers, scoring 60 on Kobe Bryant. In the playoffs Arenas' stats go way up. In his 19 postseason games, Gilbert averages 36.8 points, 8.9 assists, 6.8 rebounds, and only one turnover.
It has become clearly obvious that Gilbert will be one of the greatest players ever and the greatest player ever to wear a Wizards uniform. He is highly underrated, but nonetheless, he still continues to perform at high level as are the Wizards as a team. He has made them into a contender, better than the pretender they were three short seasons ago.

Gilbert Arenas isn't overrated, without him the Wizards are no where close to being a playoff team. With him the Wizards are one of the top teams in the east (even though I understand that isn't saying much). He fits in with what the Wizards need, a PG who isn't afraid of taking big shots and can at times shoulder the scoring load. He reminds me a lot of Chauncey Billups, if the Wizards were to win a Championship then Arenas would deserve his MVP hype just like Billups did a few years ago.

well dont you think he deserves to be mad at team USA? he got cut in favor of brad miller. he is not overrated, he is a great player. if you got snubbed im sure you would be pissed too. and wade gets more weak foul calls than anyone in the league not arenas and at least his team is winning. iverson scores 30 and shoots in the low 40s but the sixers go nowhere at least the wiz are in the playoffs.

I understand your point, but I dont thnink hes overrated. he's just where hes supposed to be. he's been an outstanding player for a few years, he just wasnt noticed as much. remember how he got angry he didnt make the all-star team (or was it a starter) and the olympic team?
its because he deserved to make those teams.

no, he's definitely in the top 5 players in his position. but ultimately players will be acknowledged by what they have achieved in this league. dropping 60 'without a conscience' and shouting 'hibachi' is nothing compared to winning championships.

He's good, but not the best. Too many shots and too many turnovers. The best player is Baron Davis.

No. When you train real hard and succeed at this level, you have a right to brag about it.
