If both names are on the deed, than it's a 50/50 ownership. It doesn't matter how the mortgage gets paid. If you are married and one of you doesn't work, it's still marital assets, so you still own 50/50. Marriage is a partnership, not one person superior to the other because they work and the other does not. Some people feel it does, that it's "their" money, or assets, since they are the one with the job. They are just warped, not superior.

No not at all it is 50 50 and both people own the house equally. Does not matter who is paying the mortgage as long as it is being paid. Both names are on the deed so bot people own it together and that is just the way it is. If one person wants to be superior and own it they would have to have just their name on the deed alone.

could answer better with more detail. yes it is 50/50 in some cases with deeds and such. but how is the name put on it john and sue or john/and,or/sue. believe it or not it makes a huge difference on how it is stated. how are you paying for the deed. for example my husband and i have a joint checking account. only occasionally do i sign a check. 98% of the time he signs them. therefore it looks as if he is paying the bills. though we both work. hopefully you see where i am going with this. whatever the situation may be good luck in figuring it out.

No, u both own the house, regardless who pays the bills. Both of ur names r on there, therefore both r equal. No 1 person is superior over the other.

No, it is about oneness. He or she does thing around the house when you are at work to make it run like a well oiled machine. Look at this like this when you have to ask for dinner and clean underwear or need to hire a made then you are definitly the superior, until then think of it as team work. Remember two is always better then one

No it doesn't. The property is 50/50 no matter who pays the bill because both names are on the deed.

The people receiving the payment don't look at it that way, they just get the payment. It obviously makes you more capable, but not superior.

No - but it might make them FEEL superior, or you less superior. I have to work or I don't feel I have a say in anything.
