It's true for the cotton intruder, but I am not sure about pads!

Well one leading cause of yeast infection is your privates are unable to "breathe". Too much or constant moisture down there is not good for you. This is why alot of people suggest cotton underware or underware that has a cotton lining. Therefore an unchanged pad is NOT good! Some pads stay pretty dry but if the pad is full it will stay wet. So change your pad regularly.

You could develop a yeast infection or a bacterial infection from being wet/damp for long periods of time. My advice, change your pad/tamon often to avoid being unconfortable and any risk of infection :-)

Not as likely as getting some kind of infection from not changing your tampon, but exposing your vaginal area to bacteria isn't the best thing to do, either.

I dont know. But I dont think you want to be sitting in your own uterus lining for too long...do you?

Thats why I dont even wear pads, the idea of sitting in it all day is gross.

Not likely. It is just old blood, not infected old blood. Your pad will, however, stink.
