In Athens/Attica they had very little grain and desperately needed to import it.

Here is a list of their exports:
-olives/olive oil
-handpainted vases
-some silver and other metals

Imports:
-grain
-perfumes
-silk
-most metals and jewels
-lumber

I don't really understand what you mean by ancient greek economy, but this was the import/export economy of a city-state Ancient Greece
