I think it's a math problem, dear.

I hope that's a start.

it took her 43hours - 20hours = 23 hours of travel time

she traveled 55mi/h going
45mi/h coming

the distance is the same
the distance is X between city A and city B
she travels twice that distance to go and come bock
she traels 2x mi.

she does it in 23 hours
since the distance is the same, they average speed of each trip has equal weight, so the overall average speed she traveled is 50mi/h

23h * 50mi/h = 1150mi = 2x
x = 575mi

the distance between city a and city b is 575miles

575 miles, or 1150 miles total round trip. (23 hours total round trip driving time @ 50 mph average speed)
