A woman sued McDonalds for her coffee being too hot when she placed it between her legs while driving a car and it spilled on her. It sounds frivolous, but the other side of the story is that the woman was in her eighties and the burns were 3rd degree - the skin was killed by the heat like a person dragged from a fire.
