My skin is red and irritated and I cant use anything because it will get worse. It is also really black under my eyes and nothing will make it go away. My skin looks horrible. What should I do?

Could you try Aquaphor? It's great for really dry skin, it's thicker than vaseline. But it really holds moisture in & should clear it up. It should soothe it for you & not hurt. You probably have windburn...maybe? Or even call your doctors office & talk to a nurse & see what they recommend. Hope it heals for you soon.:)

You can get sunburnt far worse in the winter than summer. Spend a lot of time outside on a sunny day with snow on the ground, and you're getting a double dose of sun rays. Like swimming in cool water without protection, you don't feel it until it's too late.

your skin is chapped......it is dry and needs moisture.....this will require alot of greasing up. My mother would grease herself up before her shower....now this caused a terrible shower floor....gross and slick form the Vaseline. I have also heard that if you will take a good lotion and before you dry off from your shower....put lotion all over you body and then towel dry. My mother has recently started taking vitamin E capsules, and has not had a problem with dry skin this season. They are all worth a try.....actually I did try the lotion after the shower...and you do feel better.....it traps the moisture in the skin....but you will have to do it every day until you get your skin back to normal....and then maybe once or twice a week......Good luck and hope your skin gets back to normal.

You DO know that you can get a sunburn during winter, right? Skiers get them all the time, considering the fact that light reflected off of the snow makes them even worse. Also, about the black under your eyes...you should probably get more sleep.

But then again, skiers get windburn too...my apologies if I have misspelled skiers...

If it has been windy out it is probably wind burn which can be very irritating to the touch. If it is burning try taking some aloe and putting the whole bottle in the freezer for a bit, then dab some on your fingers and rub on your face, then dry with blowdryer on COOL!

omg, don't worry, i think i got that too once. it's soo f-ing annoying and fyi, skin lotion does NOT help cuz its not strong enuf to get rid of the weird irritation, and if u cake it on it just gets disgusting.
aquaphor repair ointment is really really good, it got rid of my thing in about a wk. also, if u can get it (it's prescription) use a mild corticosteroid--cortizone cream--i had it already cuz my sis has eczema--it helps too. good luck!

as for ur eyes? more sleep, and good foundation does the trick

you can get sunburned in the winter.

use a gentle soap like neutrogena and a good mild moisturizer like aveeno. you might want to see a derm. if you're really concerned.

if you wear foundation, get some with spf of 15 or higher to wear during the day.

Sound like it could be an allergic reaction to something u might have eaten or perhaps something u applied to you face. Have u used any new face cream or soap? if u have insurance you should go see a doctor preferably a dermatologist. Hope it clears up.
