Pull the troops to the border of Iraq and to the Anbar Province to fight Al Queda. Let the Iraqi forces fight the civil war that is occuring in Baghdad. The American troops are there to fight Al Queda, which is prevalent in the Anbar Province, and to make sure no terrorists cross over the borders and enter Baghdad. No additional troops would be needed as we already have enough over there to carry out this plan. It is proposed by Warner, a Republican in the House, along with three other Rep/Dem. It was supposed to have been discussed and voted on last week but the Republicans in the House are refusing to open discussion on it. 60 votes are needed to open the discussions and the Senate is 50-50.There's the plan. Write your Republican Congressman and urge him to open debate on the proposal. This is a good plan.

I usually don't answer cons for the simple reason they do not understand things that are around them, the bi-partisan war council recommended a phased withdrawal, Bush ignored them, the Generals on the ground in Iraq recommended that we not have a surge in troops, Bush fired them. He went with his own plan, "stay the course on steroids" Would you not think that he would have listened to these people and formed a plan that would work instead of trying to bully his way out of Iraq. But you accuse the liberals of not having a plan. Who are you going to blame when a troop surge becomes a escalation and more insurgence come to Iraq to fight back their enemy. That being said I really do hope that it works, I do have my reservations, but anything to get our people home to protect us from the real terror threats not Iraq.
Edit: maybe if Rush Limbaugh had advised him to a phased withdrawal he would listen.

I don't like the situation in Iraq much at all, but I do believe that since our troops are there, they should be supported. If the Dems can come up with an alternative (which as of yet they have not), I would be willing to listen.

President's Plan? He doen't have a plan, hes doin what Dick tells him to. Since we can't end the war until certain requirements are met I think we should take more troops out

Our presence in Iraq is fueling the insurgency and causing needless death and hardship in that evolving nation. Wouldn't a UN peace-keeping force be more effective, and less dangerous? Do you invest in small arms manufacturers? Bullish on war?

Democrats want to capture Makkah al-Mukarramah and then charge the people going to the Haj pilgrims an al-Masjid al-Haram tax. Democrats tax everything.

james baker gave him like 70 some odd options... (and he's not even a democrat)
also Jim Webb outlined a plan after the State of the Union address
that's a start...and several others have talked about similar plans...
clean out your ears... and watch the news... these were pretty big deals..
