Someone has to earn respect .... You will respect a person who is consistent and a good influence in your life. Not just an aquaintance, but someone you build a friendship and/or relationship with. By the way, there is spell check on this page. Be sure to check your spelling before you turn in your essay!

Respect should be given at first meeting. How the other person handles the respect you have bestowed on them that determines they are worthy of it in the future.
Are they worthy? What is my criteria for worthiness? (Each person is different.)
Are reverent, reverential, dutiful; polite, well-mannered, civil, courteous, gracious honest, moral, ethical, principled, righteous, right-minded; decent, estimable, virtuous, scrupulous, good, upstanding, noble, fair, just, truthful, trustworthy, law-abiding, reliable, reputable, creditable, dependable.
Those are my ideas of how I can respect a person after I get to know them. Are they these thing? If yes, then they are worth my respect.
Godspeed.

By treating the others in the same way you want to be treated and by not spamming nor advertising sites for money.
