Whenever i turn on my computer it just keeps restarting itself. It gives me like this page and lets me pick either to load windows normaly, load from the last good config or somthing then like 3 diff safe modes. If i try and load the safe mode it just gives me a ton of text and then restarts after a bit. Im on my laptop and its driving me nuts, my sisters boyfriend downloaded some antispyware or virus thing on his laptop and he said he glanced at some warning about a worm or somthing that just restarts ur comp over and over.

um your problem isn't a worm or spyware its basically that your entire hard drive crashed. If you can remember to the last time that you actually got onto your desktop and used your laptop.. did you shut it down in properly or maybe did it just crash on you through restarting on its own..

Now here's how to fix it

Basically you need to reformat your hard disk, but better yet get someone to do something called Zero-Setting, which is the best way to clear up everything, from crashes to worms and spyware.. and from there reload windows or mac... but i doubt such a things would happen on a mac.

For more help check out Maxtor or Western Digital for reformating tools that you can load on USB sticks or Floppy disks and boot directly from when starting your computer.

When you can get your computer to boot to safe mode - it's an opportunity to fix your problem. (It does load via black screen and it takes a while). Safe mode only loads necessary files for the computer to run.

(If this is a RECENT problem, I would try the 'restore' feature. Usually if you boot to safe mode, it asks if you want to restore (say yes if the problem is recent and pick a Date (xp).

If you don't have the restore feature and you can boot to safe mode (ugly, I know - but it's functional). Try running all ofyour spyware, antivirtus stuff from safe mode. Many times, it's the only way to really deal with things. If you're not using an AntiVirus - you've kind of 'earned' it - if you have a virus. It's very important software. AFTER you run your antivirus program, if you have a worm or virus, it should identify it - then you go to your 'antivirus' site and get the 'removal' tool.

Sometimes lessons have to be learned the hard way.

Try to repair ur windows by using its original or pirated cd by click the "R", u can see this by inserting or booting the OS installer in cdrom on dos mode, hope this will help u.. (This can only be apply to windows XP, if this wont work u are now in the option of backing up ur files and reformat ur laptop/pc.)

You did not say if you had run a scan.....AV scan.
That would be a start.

When I suspect something I delete cookies, I delete temp internet files, and I clear history.
Then I run an ANTI VIRUS scan.

Why are you letting anybody download ANYTHING on your computer?

Your post does not give much helpful info.
AV scan will be helpful in identifying problem...hopefully.

Or it could be a hardware problem or a Windows problem. Try reinstalling Windows from scratch.
